ABOUT
LAUREN ENDER
I have a collaborative and client-centered therapeutic approach, and I believe each client has the strength and resolve to create the meaningful change they hope to see in their lives. I am dedicated to helping individuals see the good in themselves. I understand that life can be tough and overwhelming, and it is my goal to help clients develop the tools they need in order to feel confident navigating life’s difficult moments. I am committed to helping my clients identify and achieve their therapeutic goals, while providing a safe, judgment-free space where my clients feel supported and comfortable to express themselves.
I received my Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I earned my master’s degree from a COAMFTE-accredited program through the UNLV School of Medicine. During graduate school, I received extensive, hands-on clinical training in individual, couple, and family therapy. I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, adults, couples, and families as a whole. I have experience helping individuals who are struggling with mood disturbances such as anxiety and depression, as well as grief and loss. I will support those who hope to improve their self-esteem or heal from trauma, and I am passionate about helping individuals recover from eating disorders. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and regularly attend trainings within the field of eating disorders. I am intensively trained in The Gottman Method Couples Therapy and have completed all three levels of training through the Gottman institute. I enjoy working with couples throughout the various stages of their relationship to resolve issues such as communication, lack of intimacy, and infidelity. Additionally, I have training in Radically-Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), a type of therapy aimed to support those with excessive self-control. RO-DBT is a therapeutic modality that helps clients develop tools to enhance social connectedness, psychological flexibility, and openness to new experiences. Regardless of what brings you to therapy, it is a privilege to be apart of your journey.
I believe it’s important to make it easy for clients to receive therapy when and where they need. For some, it’s difficult to make it to our office for each session and that’s why I’ve been certified to provide therapy online via video calls.
You can choose to see me in-person, online, or a mix of both. We can determine together what the best option would be for you.
